The Cardiff & District Law Society (CDLS) was founded in 1886. It acts as a local body representing the interests of local solicitors and all those involved in legal service provision in the society's membership area. CDLS were looking to update their brand identity and to move away from the traditional "stuffy" feel of the majority or Law Societies and create something that represents Cardiff's modern and evolving identity as a forward-thinking, diverse and exciting modern City.

DELIVERY:
Collaborating with our friends at Emma Waddingham Consulting, we developed a clean, simple, and easily recognizable brand identity accompanied by related graphics. As a tribute to the Society's rich history and location, we incorporated the chevrons from Glamorgan's flag, which also appear on Cardiff's coat of arms. The use of blue tones conveys the strength and reliability that have been fundamental values of the CDLS for a long time. Additionally, we created a contemporary, geometric reinterpretation of the Cardiff coat of arms, specifically for formal events hosted by the society. This design element is applied across various assets to maintain a cohesive visual identity.
